Preschool (GSRP)

For our truly young minds, the Preschool program at Morey Public School Academy provides an excellent foundation in the fundamentals of early learning at no cost to parents. The program is fully funded through the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP).

GSRP is an income based program that provides funding for preschool programs for four-year-old children.  It offers tuition-free preschool for four half days a week.  There is a morning and an afternoon session.  Funding from the state provides children with breakfast, lunch and a snack. The preschool has highly qualified staff, and the teacher is certified by the state of Michigan.  The associate teacher is not state certified, but does meet all state requirements, and is highly qualified.  The GSRP program is based upon The Creative Curriculum.  This curriculum is nationally known for its forward-thinking, comprehensive, and rigorously researched model.  It focuses on four main developmental topics: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language. Through an ongoing cycle of observing children, guiding their learning, and assessing their progress, this curriculum is personalized to target each child’s individual needs.  The number one goal of any preschool program is to ensure children become enthusiastic learners.  Through GSRP and The Creative Curriculum, your child can be just that!
