At Morey Public School, we like to make sure our students remain active both during, and after school hours. That is why we get children involved in student activities. Student GroupsOne of our most popular programs is K-Kids, a student-led community service organization for 1st through 5th graders. This program is the youngest, and fastest growing service organization for elementary students worldwide. The club operates under school regulations, and draws its members from the student body. It is open to any student who wants to join. K-Kids club is co-sponsored by a Kiwanis club and the elementary school. College students from Circle-K at CMU come to the school to teach lessons. K-Kids helps develop leadership and responsibility in children who participate. AthleticsBasketball - Our basketball program starts in October and runs for one month. It is a K-5 program.Soccer - Our soccer program starts in May and runs for one month. This is also a K-5 program. Girls on the Run - This program is for 8-13 year old girls. The program combines training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goal of the program is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. This usually starts in the middle of April. |

Student SpotlightAshton (1-3 Year)Ashton is always excited about school. When others sometimes groan, I can count on Ashton to smilingly be delighted to do the next task or project. She does not lose heart and is always positive. I enjoy having the chance to work with her!
